Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy Services
GTF's Chaplaincy Services is committed to fostering leadership excellence within the American Muslim community. We set high standards for leadership, offer education and training programs that help leaders meet them, and create guides, manuals and other resources that strengthen leadership skills. The service is a central hub for training chaplains, imams, youth and community leaders.

Endorsement
Understanding endorsement
What an endorsement is
An official document affirming that a person is spiritually, doctrinally, educationally and professionally qualified to represent their faith community in specialized settings beyond the local masjid, particularly in religiously diverse settings.
What an endorsement is not
A letter of recommendation. Anyone, or any mosque, can write a recommendation, but only a recognized ecclesiastical endorsing agency such as GTF can issue a formal endorsement.
An endorsement is valid for a specific period and institution, and it can be withdrawn, for example if a chaplain fails to meet the standards of the profession or engages in unethical or criminal behavior. Endorsement keeps chaplains accountable to their faith community, with spiritual oversight and high standards of conduct.
